5 Prayers for Health & Healing

1. The Prayer to St. Raphael the Archangel: "Glorious Archangel St. Raphael, great prince of the heavenly court, you are illustrious for your gifts of wisdom and grace. You are a guide of those who journey by land or sea or air, consoler of the afflicted, and refuge of sinners. I beg you, assist me in all my needs and in all the sufferings of this life, as once you helped the young Tobias on his travels. Because you are the medicine of God, I humbly pray you to heal the many infirmities of my soul and the ills that afflict my body. 3. The Prayer to St. Peregrine for Healing: "O great St. Peregrine, you have been called "The Mighty," "The Wonder-Worker," because of the numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you. For so many years, you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fiber of our being. So, I turn to you with confidence in my time of need. Holy St. Peregrine, I confidently turn to you for help in my present sickness. 3. The Prayer to St. Jude for Healing: "Most holy Apostle, St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hope. Please intercede on my behalf. Make use of that particular privilege given to you to bring hope, comfort, and help where they are needed most. Come to my assistance in this great need that I may receive the consolation and help of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations, and sufferings, particularly (mention your intention here), and that I may praise God with you and all the saints forever. I promise, O blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, to always honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to you. Amen."

3. The Novena to Our Lady of Lourdes: "O ever immaculate Virgin, Mother of Mercy, Health of the Sick, Comforter of the Afflicted, you know my wants, my troubles, my sufferings. Look upon me with mercy. When you appeared in the grotto of Lourdes, you made it a privileged sanctuary where you dispense your favors, and where many sufferers have obtained the cure of their infirmities, both spiritual and corporal. I come, therefore, with unbounded confidence to implore your maternal intercession. My loving Mother, obtain my request. I will try to imitate your virtues so that I may one day share your company and bless you in eternity. Amen."

3. The Healing Prayer of Padre Pio: "O God, Thou didst give Saint Pio of Pietrelcina, Capuchin priest, the great privilege of participating in a unique way in the Passion of Thy Son. Grant me through his intercession the grace of (mention your intention here) which I ardently desire; and above all, grant me the grace of living in conformity with the death of Jesus, to arrive at the glory of the resurrection. Glory be to the Father... Amen."
